Growing Girl!

We're just amazed at how quickly Natalie is growing. She is now in 3 month clothes at 7 weeks old and weighs 11lbs (we think). She's more aware than ever noticing things like the cats, her mobile and birds outside in the trees. She's started smiling more often especially when she's with her daddy:)

Happy Spring Weekend!

The weather has been absolutely gorgeous lately. This weekend it was 80 degrees and we spent much of it outside. We played in the yard, took long walks through the neighborhood and even went to our second home (the Biltmore Estate) this afternoon.

St. Patrick's Day Photo Shoot

Natalie had the cutest green outfit to wear for St. Patrick's Day and was also very photogenic so we took advantage of it and got some fun new photos to share! She's also just gotten strong enough this week to lift her head up. It's a little out of control still but that won't be the case for long.

6 Weeks Old Friday!

Natalie turned 6 weeks old on Friday and is starting to take naps during the day more consistently. Kim has been working hard on trying to get her on a schedule which has so far proven to be hit or miss. Notice the beautiful lavender blanket around Natalie. We found that at Wal-mart believe it or not for $4.99. Just Kidding! Great Grandma Grifall made that special for her and she loves it!! (Don't worry Grandma Kim already hit me for that last comment!)

I'm not always an Angel!

Kim really wanted me to publish these "not so flattering" pictures of Natalie. I'm not even sure how Kim got them . . . I've never actually seen her like this:) I've included "typical" Natalie pictures as well for the rest of you that, like me, believe that Natalie is only a sweet little angel!!!

Leisurely Stroll through Town

Grandma AND Grandpa come to visit

This past Friday Grandma and Grandpa Brooks stopped in on their way to Florida. The weather was really great the whole weekend. On Saturday we packed up all the appropriate gear, picked up Starbucks and took a long stroll through some of Asheville's historic neighborhoods. On Sunday we all enjoyed being in the yard. Grandma watched from the hot tub, Kim and Natalie from the deck while Grandpa and I cleaned up the yard. It was a great day to be outside.

1 Month Old Today!!

Today Natalie is 1 month old. Isn't it hard to believe? It seems like just yesterday when we were racing to the hospital and now she is already getting so big! Kim and I are learning so much. Some things seem to be coming sort of naturally. . . .other things are an acquired skill like getting her calmed down to sleep each night. Rocking, swinging and bouncing all done in unison seems to be pretty effective to date! Another trick is loud white noise. A radio station on static at a pretty loud volume would have normally really bothered us but now is a normal part of our nightly routine. She also really likes the vacuum cleaner but knowing this hasn't caused either of us to jump up and clean the house!
