Baby Shower!

I cannot believe we pulled it off, but we did.  With just under two weeks of planning time and family members living in 4 different cities within 3 different states, we managed to throw a baby shower for Auntie Ashley with most of the family in attendance.  We very much missed GGMa, GGPa and Aunt Karen who weren’t able to come at the last minute, but they had their car packed and ready to go before having to cancel their trip, for crying out loud, so they were practically here, too!!!  Ashley and Grandma Lala came into town a few days before the shower and we cooked and cleaned and decorated and then Aunt Jackie, cousins Aimee, Emma, Jamie, Reese, June and baby Jace showed up and we talked and ate and laughed and ate some more!  It was such a great day and weekend!
Just some fun pictures from a very fun day.  Thank you all for celebrating with us and showering Ashley (and Paul) with well wishes, great advice and super cute stuff.  I really had no idea boy clothes could be so cute until this shower!

Ashley looks adorable pregnant…it’s just too bad she doesn’t feel very good.
This baby has made her quite nauseous, even into her third trimester,
so we’ve decided he owes it to her to be a
VERY good baby, toddler and teenager to make up for it!

Doesn't baby Jace look thrilled to be the only
boy at the party?

It was difficult to eat these cute little owls...
but they were soooo good.

So excited to meet this little guy!

Golden Day (Part 2)

Yeah!!!  We're finally back in business.  Had to work out a few computer glitches and install a new web browser but we're back!  As I was saying 3 weeks ago...

After we left Golden Gate Park we headed to the Golden Gate Bridge.  When Natalie asked if it was made of gold, Corey told her, "yes".  So, now our 6 year old thinks the giant red suspension bridge gateway to the west is made of actual gold.  Hope she doesn't share that knowledge with her classmates.

We parked near the bridge and walked along a cliff to the get on the bridge itself.  We didn't make it very far on the actual bridge because we neglected to bring the stroller and Audrey was wanting to be carried a lot.  But between Corey, Kristen (and sometimes me) taking pictures we captured some great shots!
Good grief!  Auntie Kristen has lived through 3 arctic blasts
since I first tried to post this picture!

Love this little squirt hanging on to her
daddy with those chubby little hands.

Love. This. City.
And really love that our girls love it, too!

Blogger Problems

Sorry for the interruption in our regular irregular programming. I'm having a problem posting pictures due to a possible incompatibility between Blogger and our version of Internet Explorer. I'm working on it, even though Google doesn't seem to be! :( Stay tuned...

A Golden Day (Part 1)

Aunt Kristen visited last week and we had a great time showing her some of our favorite spots in the city. We headed to Golden Gate Park first thing Saturday morning and started at the girls' favorite playground, following it up with a ride on the carousel!

Then we headed to a picnic lunch where Natalie proceeded to lose a very wiggly tooth (her fourth one!) courtesy of a slice of pizza! She has quite the toothless grin now!

We eventually made our way to the Japanese Tea Garden and I think I could have stayed there all day. What a peaceful place it is.  No so much when you're constantly trying to keep Audrey from falling in a koi pond while simultaneously maneuvering a jogging stroller across stepping stone bridges, but still a very tranquil place that I just love.

 best bridge ever

It's nice travelling with the family photographer.
Corey and I actually end up on the blog.

Kristen was able to capture a pretty great picture of the four of us.  Thank you, Kristen!  That is no easy feat!  It may be the best one all year so don't be surprised if it's our next Christmas card.
I'll post Part 2 of our fun day when I get a few pictures from Kristen's phone!
Stay tuned...
