"Tchoos!"

Natalie has been obsessed with shoes for some time now...mostly other people's shoes, preferably ones that are about 17 sizes too big. But now she is obsessed with her very own shoes. A few weekends ago we bought her a new pair of fall shoes so we could retire her very scruffy looking formerly white summer sandals. Needless to say, she LOVES them and doesn't like to be without them. She's even perfected putting them on all by herself. And she's started saying "shoes", too...."tchoos" is more like it....while pointing to her own, mine, Corey's or shoes on people in her books.

The other night after her bath, while I was getting her toothbrush ready, she left the bathroom and came back wearing her shoes. Then, we put her in her pajamas and she promptly put them back on for her story time. First thing the next morning when we were getting her dressed, she puts them on again! It's like every time I blinked, my barefooted (or pajama-footed) baby had shoes on! What a nut.
