Another Christmas...in white!

We recently returned from a week in Michigan celebrating Christmas with Corey's family. We really wanted Natalie to have a winter experience and, thanks to a little snow mid-week (and some mid 20s temps to keep it on the ground), she got it! Grandma Betty (now officially "Nana" according to Natalie) found her a snowsuit, hat and boots and she looked like a cross between the Michelin Man, the Pillsbury Doughboy and a sumo wrestler when she put it on. Once she got used to walking in the boots, she was totally into it...for about 5 minutes.
Aunt Amber and Aunt Kristen were there (now officially "Ammy" and "Kiki") and loved and snuggled their little niece like crazy...not to mention spoiling her with gift after gift, and pancake breakfasts! She rocked next to her "Papa" (Grandpa Franc, of course) in the cutest little antique rocking chair, continuing a long established Brooks tradition of watching the snow fall from the warm comfort of the kitchen!

It was a great week filled with lots of family visits and catching up with dear friends and we had a really great time. I'm not sure who gained more weight during the trip, us or our luggage, but every delicious bite was well worth it!

Thanks, Nana, Papa, Ammy and Kiki and all the rest of you who travelled to see us while we were there. It was so wonderful to spend time with you. Happy New Year!
