Delightful, apparently!

Natalie's vocabulary continues to amaze us. She uses big, colorful, juicy words. Correctly. It's wonderful. We think she's a little too smart for her own good!


The other day she was going through a bookshelf in our room, looking for a book with pictures, naturally. She found one colorful book and said, "this book is just delightful!" Delightful. What a great adjective...not "nice" or "pretty" or "neat"...but delightful. I love it.

And she's also a big fan of "apparently." I sent her on a hunt for her shoes and she returned empty handed to report, "apparently, my shoes aren't in the garage anymore." She's used "apparently" numerous times since then and always appropriately.

Apparently, this delightful kid is becoming a bit of a word wizard and we couldn't be enjoying it more!
