It's amazing how much faster our second born is exposed to everything we made our first born wait for. We didn't let Natalie watch TV until she was 2. It helped that we didn't
have TV during that time but I still think we would have held firm on that. Well, Audrey watches videos often. Videos like Disney movies with scary villains that we didn't let Natalie see until very recently. As often as possible, I try to limit the movie selection to Elmo and Miss Spider, but often the movie is one of Natalie's choosing and Elmo doesn't quite do it for her anymore. Sniff.
And then there are the toys. Natalie waited (not so) patiently until this past Christmas before we'd let Santa bring her a few Barbies. I still feel like she's too young to have dolls with halter tops but she's crazy about all things Barbie. Two days after Christmas, our 14 year old neighbor was selling all of her Barbies at their garage sale. Natalie eagerly took Grandma Lala's dollars over and promptly bought herself
another Barbie and a glittery, glitzy horse to go with her. The neighbor girl's mother felt awful for an empty handed Audrey (and, let's face it, she wanted those Barbies outta there!) so she sent her home with a Barbie, too. Lovely.

And just like the baby doll that Audrey received for Christmas, her own Barbie is not nearly as exciting as Natalie's...so there is always Barbie-napping going on around here!
Then there is the ice cream, the juice, the Halloween and Valentine candy, the markers, the lip gloss and the temporary tattoos! All of which Audrey has experienced before the age of 2. Good thing she still cuddles like a newborn and thinks The Itsy Bitsy Spider is the best song, EVER!
