Girly Girl

Natalie went to a birthday party at a place called Girly Girlz in Scottsdale.  I think she would have stayed there the remainder of the week if they let her.  She was the special guest of the birthday girl's little sister but she sure enjoyed acting all grown up for the afternoon! Our girly girl got her hair done in an "up do" (including glitter hairspray) and her nails painted peony pink.  She got to wear sparkly gems, hold a microphone and dance on a stage with life-size cut outs of teen beat stars that I didn't even recognize in the party favor picture she brought home.  I'm very out of touch and this will soon have to be rectified if the Girly Girlz music selection is any indication what our daughter will be listening to in a few short years.  Her party favor bag included a fairy wand sucker, nail polish and eye shadow.  She's in heaven.

She came home from the party and immediately refreshed her glitter eye shadow.  "I don't even feel it when it's on, Mommy!" she told me as she laid it on so thick it must have actually weighted down her lids.  Then she put some eye shadow on Audrey.  The teal color. I'd been going through our baby stuff to give to a girlfriend of mine and I had the baby bottles out.  Audrey grabbed a  bottle and insisted I put water in it so she could drink out of it.  So, our 5 year old was walking around the house looking 15 and our almost 2 year old was walking around drinking from a bottle while wearing teal eye shadow.  As we left for the park later that afternoon, Natalie said, "I hope someone at the park notices my eyes shadow."  I had the exact opposite wish.

We didn't get pictures of her at the party or all done up after the party.  But these are some cute pics taken as she headed to her Easter party at school last week.  Her goal every day as she dresses for school is to be ENTIRELY pink.  Her clothing options (and my laundry schedule) doesn't always allow this but she's perfectly pink most days of the week.

And this is a cute picture of Audrey that Kristen took when she was here!
