Christmas Tree

I've posted to this blog once this December.  ONCE.  That demonstrates how crazy this month has been.  It's been fun.  Just busy.  I ran a 5K in 38 degree weather and that sort of didn't sit well with the cold I was coming down with.  Consequently, I was down for a few days and had an obnoxious cough for a few weeks.  But the rest of the family has remained healthy and for that I am supremely grateful.

We put our tree up the first weekend in December so we've been able to enjoy it for a while now.  Such fun.  We've been listening to our favorite Christmas music, finding our Elf, George, every morning, reading an Advent story book every night and lighting Advent candles each week.  So, it's been a really nice season.  Hard to believe tomorrow is Christmas Eve.

Trying to get the kids to look at the camera when there was a newly decorated Christmas tree behind them was all but impossible!  The ornaments get rearranged daily and they love looking at their picture ornaments from years past (thank you, Nana!).

In all of the places we've lived and all the houses where we've celebrated this holiday, putting up and decorating the Christmas tree makes it really feel like home every time.
