We spent a few days last weekend discovering an amazing local park. Well, Corey and Natalie discovered it years ago, but this was Audrey's and my first visit. It's called Castle Rock Regional Park and there are trails and picnic areas, basketball courts and streams, huge oaks and green hills and it's just a lovely place to spend the day.
Corey and Natalie love to bike around, climb enormous oak trees and explore some pretty remarkable rocks. They adventured there together on Sunday and then I took the girls back on their scooters on Monday and they had a great time. This park is a 5 minute drive from our house and while the small parking always seems to be full, we feel like we have it mostly to ourselves while we're there. So fun.
yup...that's just one big giant tree.
