Happy St. Patrick's Day!

A few years ago, Corey started the tradition of taking the girls into the city for the annual St. Patrick's Day parade.  That was his plan this year, too, but he ended up having to extend a business trip and that meant he would miss the parade.  He encouraged me to take the girls to the parade on my own, knowing that big city crowds + kids = uneasiness for this mama.  But we did great.  We took BART into the city early, got a great spot along the parade route and enjoyed the show from start to finish.
The girls had  a great time and collected major parade swag! The best part was this sweet woman, Florenzie, that we had the pleasure of standing next to.  She was 88 years young, wearing leprachaun socks and had also ridden BART into the city by herself just for the parade.  Reminded us very much of another 88 year old Irish lady we love dearly!

At one point during the parade they welcomed the kids to run around under a giant flag.
They loved it!

There's the back of sweet Florenzie's head.
She took gobs of pictures to show her
friends who didn't want to brave
the crowds with her today.
And she happens to be taking a picture of Natalie's
favorite parade float!

Fun day, but we sure missed Daddy.
