Natalie had a good day today. She was happy and playful and feeling better. She's had a rough couple of weeks.
She came down with a cold around the middle of November and that turned into a bad cold which then turned into an ear infection which then morphed into a really bad cold that settled in her lungs resulting in a terrible cough, numerous trips to the doctor's office, nebulizer treatments morning, noon and night, two antibiotics (after the first one did little to help her feel better) and inhalant steroids! No wonder we're all exhausted around here!
Last night was the first night in over a week that we haven't had to do the nebulizer during the middle of the night (for a while it was every four hours...it felt like we had a newborn again). We have been so spoiled because she has been the healthiest kid we know. That is until we moved to Phoenix and her stir crazy mama decided she needed to be in every toddler activity in this zip code.
She loves the weekly social schedule, but let's face it, toddlers don't like to share anything but GERMS! She's around a lot of runny noses throughout the week and this is her third cold since we've lived here (not even 3 months). Hopefully healthier days are ahead!
Today we celebrated our first "feel good day" in quite some time by getting a latte. For those of you who remember this latte drama, our neighborhood Starbucks now gives Natalie an ice water of her very own so her mother can actually take her time and enjoy her beverage! Thank you, Starbucks!
I know this much...we'll never take a healthy kid for granted again!

YAY! :)
Oh poor Nat! I didn't know she had been sick, let alone that sick! So sad, but at least she is getting better. Whenever I move to a new area I have a month or two where I seem to get everything, then it slows down as I build up an immunity to the local germs. I hope Natalie is done, sampling the local cold strains!
She looks like her sweet, healthy, happy self again!!! We're so very happy she's feeling better. Life is good!
The first picture is hilarious.
