Isn't that cool? It's her golden birthday today! Corey also had a very special golden birthday when he was 6 on June 6th...when I asked him years ago if he remembered his number-ific birthday, his response was, "yes, I had to go to the hospital and have my appendix removed." Ouch. That boy deserves another golden birthday celebration to make up for it.
Well, Natalie's didn't start off much better. I came down with food poisoning at Aunt Ashley's 30th birthday party in Tucson on Saturday night and ended up having to stay out of town last night, too, so I wasn't able to be here when our little 2 year old woke up this morning. Bummer. Natalie woke up with a bad cold and ended up having to go to work with Corey for the morning until I could get myself home.
So...Happy birthday, beautiful Natalie Ann. We can hardly believe it was 2 years ago today that delightful you joined our family. What a blessing you are. You have made our lives rich beyond imagination, you've made us laugh until our sides hurt and you've enabled us to relive the most innocent and precious moments of childhood. We've loved watching you grow by leaps and jumps this year and can't wait to see all the changes this coming year will bring. Love you so much, little one!
As soon as we're all feeling better, we'll start celebrating!

Happy Birthday Natalie! We wish we could be there to celebrate with you. I was just remembering your first birthday last year and how much has changed since then. You are such a special little girl with so much personality and imagination! We hope this coming year brings many special times. I hope you and Mommy feel better soon!
