Daddy Day

A few weekends ago Corey took the girls to spend the day at the California Academy of Sciences. We bought a family pass last year and even though we've more than gotten our money's worth out of it, he wanted to enjoy it one more time before it expired.  It's such an amazing place.  I was torn (for a brief minute) between going with them or staying home in silence after a very busy summer of constant kiddos.  Silence won.   Sorry Cal Academy.

But Corey and the girls had an awesome time, as usual.  They love to go on Sundays because there is a craft project in the morning.  These girls are ALWAYS up for a craft project.
 Look at that concentration

The exhibit right now is Color of Life so there seemed to be even more colorful animals, insects and fish than ever.  The girls always love the rainforest dome where they climb a spiraling ramp from the forest floor to the canopy and see all the wildlife from bottom to top.  The butterflies and birds they took pictures of were amazing.

I asked Audrey what she was so surprised to find
in this planter and she said, "that pink leaf, Mommy."
And they also got to see an exhibit of African penguins.  The girls loved how the penguins all had arm bands (or bracelets, according to Natalie) which noted which ones were males and which ones were female.  Males had bands on one wing and the females had a band on the opposite wing, but penguin couples had the same color band.  Cute.

After the museum, they explored the climbing trees in Golden Gate Park.

So happy Corey loves to adventure with them.
