Gardening Grandma on the Go!

Just got home from a lovely quick visit with this beautiful lady.  When we were in Tahoe last month we didn't get to see her much.  We all came down with colds and we didn't want to run the risk of getting her sick. Not because she's in feeble health, mind you, but because she had a Canadian railway vacation planned and didn't want to travel with a head cold.  Oh, I hope I age like her; riding the rails through the Canadian Rockies at 89 years young!

Not only does GGMa continue to amaze us, but so does her knack for growing vegetables.  Our attempt at growing a veggie garden this year left us mostly frustrated.  Other than cherry tomatoes,  we didn't yield anything substantial.  But grandma managed to grow gorgeous tomatoes, as usual, and also had good luck with cucumbers she planted from seed.  I really wish I'd inherited her green thumb.

So, we're home and missing her and her kitties but will head over the hill again soon!

Love you, GGMa!
