Desert Botanical Gardens

We went to the Desert Botanical Gardens this past weekend and it is one of my favorite places to visit. Whenever I start to tire of the desert landscape and crave a nice patch of good old fashioned lawn I know it's time to visit these gardens to remind me that there is a lot of beauty to be found in the desert. Nowhere else do desert plants look prettier than bordering the winding trails that lead you through succulent and cactus gardens.

Natalie loved the blossoms. Audrey greeted all the passersby from her stroller with a squeal and a two-hand wave. Corey used his new camera to take some awesome pictures! And I liked going there for free using a culture pass from our local library. The Phoenix library offers passes to local museums and the zoo that you can check out just as you would a book. They're not that easy to snag because there are only a few released each week, but it's a great way to visit places that have hefty admission fees.

This one is for you, Kel!

Anyone in the mood to come to the desert?

That picture of Audrey with the hat on in the stroller looks exactly like Natalie!

I love those gardens, have you guys gone at night or dusk right before they close, it is especially beautiful!
