Two Cute

These two have been pretty cute lately.  They're playing nicely these days (except when they aren't).  And they've both kept us laughing (or shaking our heads in disbelief) on a regular basis.

A recent conversation about Auntie Kristen's upcoming wedding had me chuckling.  It went something like this:

Me:  I have to hurry up and find a dress to wear to the wedding.

Audrey:  I just can't wait for the wedding.  All the balloons and cupcakes!

Me:  Weddings aren't really about balloons and cupcakes.  They're more about flowers and candles.

Natalie:  Yeah, Audrey, and mist machines that make rainbows and giant crystals everywhere.

Me:  Hmmmmmm...

They are clearly picturing a cross between a birthday party, Disneyland and a Las Vegas show.  The rustic elegance of this outdoor farm wedding might not measure up.  But there will be fancy dresses.  And cake.  So, that ought to make up for it!
They recently submitted some of their finest work to Trader Joe's annual Earth Day coloring contest.  It was Auntie Ashley who pointed out that using gobs of paper to promote Earth Day awareness was not the best decision Trader Joe's has ever made.  I agree.  But it sure was fun!

And they're having tons of fun tending to our garden.  They planted it a few weekends ago with Corey and we're all loving watching it grow.  Audrey's comment over the phone to Nana the other day went something like this, "now when Mommy or Daddy doesn't want to get up and feed us, we'll just be able to get something to eat from the garden."  Wha?  I'm not sure we've ever slept through a meal, but I suppose anything is possible.  We are staying up very late these days binge watching Downton Abbey.

These ages are awesome.  I really wish I could freeze time right now.
