First Fruits!

We've had a lot of fun with our garden this year.  It's our first California garden so it's an experimental year where we'll see what works and what doesn't.  So far, beans, onions, cucumbers and, of course, zucchini have been successful.  Is there anyplace zucchini doesn't grow?  We're anxiously watching our green tomatoes like one watches a pot of soon-to-be-boiling water and, similarly, it seems to be taking FOREVER.  But they should be turning red soon! So far the strawberries haven't produced much and the bell peppers are slow to grow.  But it's fun to watch it all.  Here are a few of our first fruits.
That's a blurry hand in the upper left corner
because the girls eat these raw as fast as
they can pick them.  A bowlful is gobbled up
raw before I can steam them for dinner.
