Happy Mother's Day

Mother's Day started with Natalie waking up grumpy, because she bumped her mouth on the crib rail, and crying for me, asking me to kiss it to make it feel better. That was actually a really sweet start to Mother's Day. Usually, the first words out of her mouth each morning are, "where's Daddy?...I want Daddy". Her morning mood improved and we had a great time together as a family.

Corey had to work this afternoon so Natalie and I met Ashley for a Gap Outlet excursion (oh, the joys of big city living) and lunch. It was a great day. Thanks, Ash, for driving more than half way. We loved seeing you!

We left to meet Ashley right after church...the only glitch was this bean sprout that Natalie planted in Sunday School a few weeks ago was sent home with her today. It was 102 degrees today so leaving the struggling seedling in the car during our shopping and dining was not an option. So, we did what any dedicated future gardeners would do...we invited little bean sprout to shop and dine with us. He seemed to like the Gap Outlet, although he got a little nervous at the restaurant!
