"suckow"

This morning, Corey took Natalie to the bank to deposit some rolled change into her own little savings account. I wondered how this was going to go over with her. She's been captivated by these rolls of coins all week and amazed that the weight and jingle in her piggy bank is gone as a result of them. I explained the whole process how she would go to the bank with Daddy and give the person behind the desk the rolls of coins. She didn't say this but I had a feeling she was thinking the obvious toddler thought....."AND what do they give ME?"

Well, thank goodness for bank "suckows". I think the only reason Natalie handed over the coins willingly is because the teller immediately traded her a sucker for them. Smart teller. She was a thrilled little patron and happily went on her way. They stopped by the park after the bank and Corey told her she couldn't run around the park with her sucker so she'd have to leave it in the car. She hesitantly agreed. Two quick swings on the swing and she asked for her sucker. Corey reminded her that she'd have to get in the car to go home if she wanted to finish her sucker. She wanted to go home and headed for the car. Corey came home so disappointed that she chose home and a sucker over an hour at the park. The park is an everyday occurrence for this condo kid, but a "suckow"....that's a rare treat! It might not be hard to get this kid to save her pennies!

p.s. to Dr. Aimee and Dr. Mark...give us a break for the sucker, okay? She's made it 3 weeks with no thumb! Yeah, Natalie!!!!

Congratulations on going three weeks with no thumb sucking, Natalie! This deserves a MAJOR treat...I say we go withdraw those coins and go SHOPPING! Think of all the "suckows" we could buy with your savings! :)
